Bill Hennerty was raised in East Los Angeles, where he discovered his passion for woodworking at an early age. That passion quickly grew into a lifelong craft, leading him to launch his first refinishing company, Kraft Built, at just 22 years old. His promising career was briefly interrupted when he was drafted into the U.S. military, putting his work on hold while he served his country.

Upon returning home in 1969, Bill immediately resumed his craft with renewed determination. He reopened his refinishing company in 1970 and, with only one helper by his side, transformed a modest workshop into a thriving operation. By 1976, he had built a team of 84 employees, and by 1984, his business had expanded into an impressive 90,000-square-foot facility.

Years later, in 2013, Bill faced a new challenge—undergoing open-heart surgery. True to his resilient spirit, he fought his way back with remarkable perseverance and strength. Today, at 82 years old, he continues to devote himself to the craft he loves, inspiring everyone around him with his dedication and positivity.
Bill is a proud father of two daughters and one son, and a grandfather to five. He values honest work, kindness, and helping those in need. These principles are reflected in every project he touches—each piece completed with care, precision, and genuine pride.
